Recycling Your Old Appliance
Save yourself the trouble of lugging your old appliance to the local tip. Our delivery team can help by disconnecting, removing and recycling your old like-for-like appliance along with all of the packaging when we deliver your new one. We then start the process of getting it recycled in accordance with the UK's WEEE Directive (more information below).
We also unwrap your new appliance and remove all of the packaging leaving you with a shiny new appliance without all the mess. The packaging materials are then suitably disposed / recycled as necessary.
To get all of the above simply select 'Disconnect, Remove & Recycle' when choosing your appliance or call us to place your order.
We are registered with the Environment Agency as a waste carrier (registration number: CB/FE5688AS) and use local WEEE Compliant Wast Management & Recycling Centres in our recycling process.
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive
The WEEE Directive is UK law and aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment. The directive also means that the retalier of such of electrical equipment must provide the provision for consumers to return their waste equipment for recycling.
Here at Future Appliances we are doing our bit under these regulations to offer you the possibility to take your old appliance on a like-for-like basis when you buy a new Electrical appliance from us with a home delivery.
Under the WEEE Directive all new electrical goods should be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol. Goods are marked with this symbol to show that they were produced after 13th August 2005, and require separate disposal from regular household waste so that they can be recycled.
